Yahoo announced they are up to delete old e-mail IDs that have been not logged in over a year.Yahoo was the  best web based e-mail provider before Gmail and Outlook.After this freeing up users do not need to have long e-mail IDs instead they can have short IDs.

This is cure for annoying long ID's which had been a headache to many users.
Short IDs easy to remember,easy to type and read.

When this short email ID's become available?

According to Yahoo

We’re freeing up IDs, that have been inactive for at least 12 months, by resetting them and giving them a fresh start. In mid July, anyone can have a shot at scoring the Yahoo! ID they want. In mid August, users who staked a claim on certain IDs can come to Yahoo! to discover which one they got.

If you are not using your existing yahoo e-mail accounts for a long time please login Yahoo and avoid getting deleted before July 15.
